One of the things i love about Blacksburg is its wonderful sense of community, and the amazing people who participate to create that community. My oldest has been playing soccer (with NRUSA) since the spring before her kindergarten year and we’ve been really fortunate to have wonderful coaches — all who donate their time to work with our kid’s. Well, this season, we hit the JACKPOT with our coach. He’s a father of FIVE kids, a professor at VT, and still has time (well, probably MAKES time
) to be an amazing soccer coach. I took pictures during a game on Saturday and practice last night, and though i’d share a few… and Thank You Coach for all you contribute to our kids and the Blacksburg community!
Oh — and the kids get to select the name of their team. and their team color is Maroon. so… guess what name they selected? wait for it……… wait for it………… (its at the bottom of this post, so i am gonna make you wait for it)
