Oh… summers at the pool and days that lasted forever. My brother blistering in the sun and cannonballs. Searching for change under the deck at the club pool…. being STOKED at every quarter. Maybe even the occasional dollar… oh wait, i’m digressing. What’s my point? I LOVE Blacksburg. Wouldn’t want to be ANYWHERE else. But, the pool experience here is different. They are just not like pools in the deep south (oh, and i grew up mostly in Alabama — i mean DEEP south, lol…). And each summer, i head south to Atlanta where my honey’s amazing family lives and spend a week or two loving life with them… so i can return and recreated to that childhood deep south pool experience for myself so my kids can play in the pools and have the same wonderful memories of 99degree days with 214% humidity complimented by the *perfect* pool….
Oh, yeah, my point. Today, I’m leaving for vacation for a couple of weeks! I’ll be in Atlanta for a glorious week and i also get a week in Utah working with and learning from 12 of the most amazing photographers i know (Yahooie!)! I’m SOOOOOO excited! Like, pee my pants kinda excited. This last week has been intense and amazing… and i wanted to leave you guys with a quick glimpse of the amazing kiddo’s whom i got to work with this week! I hope everyone is having an amazing summer so far and i’ll be back in a couple of weeks!

and ::sigh:: these 2 FIVE year olds… i’ve had the pleasure of working with them several times before but this time was special… it was their birthday the day of our session…. HAPPY BIRTHDAY again M & M!!
and well, this shot is simply one of my favorites. I know, you cannot see every detail (and how STUNNING their eyelashes are…). But you can see who their family is and i LOVE it. and btw, Mrs. G — i think if you got just one more dog, you’d have an even dog to people ratio and balance things out…… ::grin::
