NRV Cares is an organization i was happy to work with last spring. NRV CARES is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to protecting children from abuse and strengthening families through education, advocacy and community partnerships. They put on an annual shindig called the NRV Cares Spring Gala and Auction to raise money for their organization, and i was more than happy to donate a session and print credit to support their mission. However, it was the first donation i had made with my business, and well — i was MORE than a bit worried about people bidding on my donation. WHAT IF no one wanted the session? WHAT IF it went for nominal money? All the silly things that go though your head…
Well, instead of my fears being realized, i was in awe of the support and generosity of the Blacksburg Community. The donation behind my auction item was considerable, and was one of MANY sizable donations made that night to support families and children in our community.
I had the honor of shooting this session last weekend. It just so happened that the family who got it, are friends of our family and people for which we have tremendous respect. I was honored to shoot this session, and you don’t need me to tell you how beautiful their daughter is….
