My schedule is booked for the remainder of 2011, with the exception of a handful of spaces for weekday mini sessions this fall. Wonderful, right? YESSSSSSSSSSSS! but, i am one of those last minute non-planners, someone who never *thinks* of anything until 10 seconds before. So i weirdly feel bad for any of you all who are *like me* because its only JUNE and all of my planner clients are AWESOME and filled up my calendar! I mean, if i called a photographer and said “hi, i’d like a session for 5 months from now” i’d be proud of myself for planning ahead and NOT expect a “gee, i’m sorry, my calendar is full”. Anyway, you get the idea of what i am saying, lol….

If you want to know more about weekday mini’s — they are about 45 min long, and generate a min of 15 proofs and are good for up to 2 children. Want to see one? Below is the last mini i photographed (click the play button and be warned there is music). And i should tell you, this one was a bit longer than 45 min as we had to wait out a rainstorm in Panera Bread. And, i mean, you gotta take a few photos in Panera, right?!? And Miss L is just a divine little thing. I’ve worked with her family since she was born, and she is honestly divine. That is the best word i can use to describe her…

I’m going to try to be back VERY soon to blog some beautiful families, babies, and a stunning High School senior i’d love to share with you… BUT i’m not sure i’ll get to that before i leave town for 2 weeks on Saturday. So if i don’t make it here again SOON, i’ll be back in a few weeks and have a GREAT holiday!

And finally, you guys know I am a sucker for portraits.  Pretty simple, i just love them.   I had the opportunity to work with a REALLY lovely family a couple of weeks ago… and the portraits we made together really make me smile.    Beautiful & real kiddos make for some pretty fabulous subjects.   They were so fun to work with, and reminded me so much of a time long ago with my big brother.  He and I used to periodically torture each other but with love in our hearts.  Well, i *think* he loved me back then… HA!  Anyway, thanks so much to the H family for the evening we spent together – you guys were a joy!

Well, I know.   2010 actually arrived 39 days ago.   I mean, i could be further behind.  Well, not by much, lol….

And i’d like to give back through my business a bit and try to continue the aid efforts in Haiti.  So for all 2010 Sessions booked through the end of February 2010 (including all those that have booked and paid  to date), i’ll be donating 25% of the session fee to Partners in Health through a local movement called Change for Haiti.   I know we are all doing what we can -  i hope that together we can raise a bit of money to help those so desperately in need…

Second — SO many of you are waiting for me to start booking for 2010.  I PROMISE i will start scheduling Spring and Summer dates soon.  I’m trying to settle out some changes to my business as well as settle some travel plans, and as soon as all my ducks are in a row — i’ll contact everyone on my waiting list!  I sincerely appreciate your patience!

Ok.  Now to me being needy.  I have a casting call….. And now for Little Miss L.  She  makes me smile.  A lot.  For a lot of reasons.

First, she’s grown into *quite* the beautiful toddler.  I met her last December at her Newborn shoot, and it ALWAYS makes me smile to see what cute little creatures they become.   And well, if you read the blog post from her newborn session, you’ll remember her squirmy self made me smile a lot then too…

Second, her eyes.  I actually and honestly gasped when her parents got her out of the car.  You’ll see why.  No further explanation necessary.

Third.  Her faces and expressions had ALL of us laughing.  She’s just funny.  Some people have it.  Some don’t.  She DOES.  She’s funny.

Amazing, right?!?  And no, i did NOT post process them to make them brighter.  SCOUTS honor.  Oh wait, i was never a girl scout.  You get the idea though.  And next, pictures of this doll would NOT be complete without THE face of awe and wonderment.  She made this face a lot.  And it was as funny the first time as it was the last…

And i cannot blog without a picture!  I took this about a month ago and the file sat on my computer — i’m not sure if i even looked at it.  I stumbled across it a couple of days ago, and boy did it make me smile.  Its my Sweet Miss S in her own little world.  Oh, how i love her…

Part B: Gone. I’m off with my girlies on my annual summer tour of the Southeast USA!  This year, i’ll be stopping by Asheville, on to Atlanta for a week, then on to Florida (where Billy will join us)  for nearly a week.  YAY for summer vacations!!!!!!  I’ll be back at work the week of August 17th  And August 19th i take MY baby to kindergarten… so stay tuned for some Belly Aching from me about that….  sob…..sob……  Have a great couple of weeks and i’ll see you on the other side!

And i also have to say thank you to all of you guys concerning my last post seeking help… i did a couple of model shoots in Charlotte 2 weeks ago and you guys were AWESOME with helping me find models.  With less than 48 hours before shoot time — all of the models for a workshop i was going to fell through… and after myself and my colleagues  putting a call out for help — we had TWO newborns and FOUR high school kids to work with.  THANKS to each of you for your help and responses!!

I’m also going to be making some big changes to what my clients receive with a session.  I’m super excited about this shift — and i’ll reveal those changes in the coming months as well!

And now, onto some of the aforementioned fabulous clients!!!  These 2 kiddo’s are so much fun….   I met them a year ago when i photographed them  just as they turned 3, and they were pretty darn fast then.  Constant fun and crazy motion.  Well, a year later just after their 4th birthday… Miss M and Mr. M have maintained there fabulously fun & fast energy.   And by fast, i mean…. really really really really fast!!!!!!  Oh, and gorgeous.  Did i mention that?
