Oh, yeah, my point.  Today, I’m leaving for vacation for a couple of weeks!  I’ll be in Atlanta for a glorious week and i also get a week in Utah working with and learning from 12 of the most amazing photographers i know (Yahooie!)!   I’m SOOOOOO excited!  Like, pee my pants kinda excited.   This last week has been intense and amazing… and i wanted to leave you guys with a quick glimpse of the amazing kiddo’s whom i got to work with this week!  I hope everyone is having an amazing summer so far and i’ll be back in a couple of weeks!

and ::sigh::  these 2 FIVE year olds… i’ve had the pleasure of working with them several times before but this time was special… it was their birthday the day of our session…. HAPPY BIRTHDAY again M & M!!

and well, this shot is simply one of my favorites.  I know, you cannot see every detail (and how STUNNING their eyelashes are…).  But you can see who their family is and i LOVE it.  and btw,  Mrs. G — i think if you got just one more dog, you’d have an even dog to people ratio and balance things out……  ::grin::

My camera could break.  I mean, its possible right?  Yeah, it broke just before their session.  I was checking my gear as i always do, and well, my camera would.not.work.  Yeah.  I had to make *that* phone call canceling their session.  Mom trying to get all four daughters ready for a session… and she gets that call.   Can i tell you how badly i felt!!??!  Pretty darn giganormously bad.

So, a week later, with a brand new camera in hand (and my old camera at the spa getting repaired and cleaned), we had their session.  And wow do i love their pictures!  So a BIG thank you to this sweet family for being soooooo good to me…..

and I can’t really take credit for this last shot.  I was packing up, and the Mrs. asked me — would you mind grabbing a few shots of me and the Mr.?  And wow, am i glad i did……

And now i’m off for a week of vacation — see you on the other side of my holiday!

And i especially love the connection between brother and sister… they are so good to eachother and the best of friends.  In conversation during the shoot, i asked Miss K who her favorite person was at her school.  Without hesitation, she answered “my brother”.  So awesome….

I’ve had LOTS going on with work… from families, to teens, to bridal portraits, to babies… so more soooooon.  If you don’t hear from me in a couple of days, send help please!

And i recently had the privilege of working with a family and their lovely new daughter!  Its such a perk of my job to get to spend time with newborns.   I’m always so honored people share them with me in the ever so fleeting newborn stage.   And Miss O….Oh, how i love her  perfect little round face!   She was such a sweet little soul, and my oh my, did i mention that beautiful face!!!!!!

And I always try to incorporated aspects of a clients home into images… and when i walked into Miss O’s nursery, i KNEW this basket had to make it into a few images.  And boy, do i love them….

So bye for now… and i do believe my next blog will be another new life… we’ll just have to see if its my puppy or the next newborn i get to meet this week.  I’m so lucky!

Welcome to this world little girl.  Your a very lucky little girl to be welcomed into this family!

And to begin with… the feet image!  I haven’t taken one like it in a long time, and trust me,  its MORE fun to actually take it than it is to see the image!  Well,  its more fun to see the parents faces when i tell them what we are going to do, lol….
