Sit. Stay. Get it Girl. Go to your circle. Noooooooo. Settle girl.

And in the middle of the night when she wanted to play, she did this incredibly annoying yawning noise right in your face. That you could not escape, lol….

And she is terribly missed. And yes, her name was Chuck. And she was not mine, but i was lucky enough to have her as a friend.

NRV Still Cares! || Blacksburg Virginia Family Photography

I was honored to be asked to work with NRV Cares again in 2009 by participating in an annual spring fundraiser! And in their own words, NRV Cares is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to protecting children from abuse and strengthening family through education, advocacy and community partnerships. NRV CARES services are available to all citizens living in the counties of Montgomery, Pulaski, Giles, Floyd and the City of Radford. NRV CARES, with the help of the New River Valley community, strives to improve the lives of the smallest and most defenseless members of our society while helping to support an environment where families can thrive. And when i get to fulfill a donated session, its always a bit sweeter — knowing that the family i’m working with donated to a cause we both believe in! If you aren’t familiar with NRV Cares, you should definitely check them out and support them in any way you can!

So here is a peek of this simply lovely family (and well, some of their lovely little pets toooooo)…

and you know i’m a sucker for a non-traditional family portrait… they LOVE the Hahn Horticulture Gardens on campus so we finished up our session there!

And a newborn session is up next! I just might be getting into the groove of this busy season!!!!!!

Part A: Dog. Well, dogs aren’t really an accurate description of these pups — because they are the children in their little family… as so many of our pets are. I was super excited when Rickey asked me to take picture of his babies (well, one of them is technically probably not still a baby… he’s 112 in people years). So here is a peek at your little family Rickey and thanks for sharing your birthday with me!!!! (and the more boring business Part B of this post is below the pictures!).

Part B: Gone. I’m off with my girlies on my annual summer tour of the Southeast USA! This year, i’ll be stopping by Asheville, on to Atlanta for a week, then on to Florida (where Billy will join us) for nearly a week. YAY for summer vacations!!!!!! I’ll be back at work the week of August 17th And August 19th i take MY baby to kindergarten… so stay tuned for some Belly Aching from me about that…. sob…..sob…… Have a great couple of weeks and i’ll see you on the other side!

And i also have to say thank you to all of you guys concerning my last post seeking help… i did a couple of model shoots in Charlotte 2 weeks ago and you guys were AWESOME with helping me find models. With less than 48 hours before shoot time — all of the models for a workshop i was going to fell through… and after myself and my colleagues putting a call out for help — we had TWO newborns and FOUR high school kids to work with. THANKS to each of you for your help and responses!!
