But i wasn’t included in that research study.  Because while i do love a smiling image of my kids, its the expressions that fascinate me.  Its intensity that i want to stare at.  Or vulnerability.  Or Silliness.

And well, i did a very quick mini session with Mr. S.  And, well, he gave me the kinds of images i can stare at for days.  Thanks to his mom for the invite to spend time with them… and i hope she loves the expressions as much as i do!!

and he gave me lots of smiles too! have a happy monday everyone!

The Inn  is really a special place, and you should take the time to check it out!  I’ll leave the outdoor photography to their website as it was snowy and miserable outside when we were there (though, i’ll say, the views in the snow were breathtaking!) — but look at how lovely it is inside!

And the little man i had the opportunity to photograph there is a crack up!  Mr. R was so smiley and silly and we had a blast at his one year old session.  Happy first birthday Mr. R!

and finally — i’m working on some VERY cool things…. and i cannot WAIT to share them with you guys… so look for fun things to come for LBH Photography soon… i’m busting i want to share so bad…  but i don’t want to Jinx myself!!!    Stay warm… and pray for school tomorrow.  please.  even if you don’t care.  even if school doesn’t effect you.  please?  for me?  lol…

Well, I know.   2010 actually arrived 39 days ago.   I mean, i could be further behind.  Well, not by much, lol….

And i’d like to give back through my business a bit and try to continue the aid efforts in Haiti.  So for all 2010 Sessions booked through the end of February 2010 (including all those that have booked and paid  to date), i’ll be donating 25% of the session fee to Partners in Health through a local movement called Change for Haiti.   I know we are all doing what we can -  i hope that together we can raise a bit of money to help those so desperately in need…

No pictures with this post -  i have a peek coming soon of a fabulous little man from last week.  I’m not only behind in my scheduling, but my life and work in general with all the school closings!!!

And if you knew her parents, it wouldn’t surprise you that they have a wonderful beautiful daughter.  Wouldn’t surprise you one little bit.  They all make me smile.  And somehow, we snuck in a session without snow.   Which, i will say, is QUITE an accomplishment this winter!!!

But, it needs to go away now so the world can start spinning again (translation, so my kids can go back to school!).  Anyway, i took a few portraits of my sweet girls over the weekend that i thought i’d share… gah, i love them.

oh, i love how her eyes are all squinty… like her face is a happy little line drawing in this shot!!!!

And Miss E and her parents are no exception.  Such a lovely little family!  Here are a few pictures from their session, and Miss E just turned 1 — Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!  This was my first official session of 2010.  Really?  Is it 2010 already?  Gah.  Eeek.

She’s seriously cute, huh?

and ooohhhh, i love her excitement over these yogurt bites.  or, um, baby crack as mom called them, lol…..

Second — SO many of you are waiting for me to start booking for 2010.  I PROMISE i will start scheduling Spring and Summer dates soon.  I’m trying to settle out some changes to my business as well as settle some travel plans, and as soon as all my ducks are in a row — i’ll contact everyone on my waiting list!  I sincerely appreciate your patience!

Ok.  Now to me being needy.  I have a casting call….. I need 1 newborn to photograph (between 5 and 10 days old) and 1 non-crawling-but-sitting-up baby as models to photograph on a weekday.   In the next few weeks.  In the NRV.  Got one?  Shoot me an email at lara@lbhphotography.net .   What does the family get out of this deal?  5 digital files printable up to 8×10  from our time together with a print release.

And now i think i’m done with business for the post.  And i have to post a picture… to remind myself that while it is FRIGID outside, its also  pretty…..
